One thing I found frustrating, or maybe overwhelming, was the amount of information on AIP (a specific diet to help support structures/functions of the body) that was online. Too much information often causes me to have information overload. Here is where I suggest you start reading about AIP:

Paleo Mom has great, simple information. Here is the SUPER oversimplified idea of what you can eat on AIP: meat, fruit, and veggies (but no nightshades, so no tomatoes, potatoes, or peppers). Also, you may have honey and 100% pure maple syrup…. That’s pretty much it! No beans, no nuts, no seeds, no grains. It’s an extremely stripped down diet, but I have found that it helps you reset and then determine what your body is intolerant to.
I have tried a lot of AIP recipes; some are great, some are terrible. When I find a great one, I pin it on Pinterest so that I can keep it for later. Some of my favorites have come from the website unboundwellness.com. I could DIE for their blueberry lemon scones! YUM YUM! To hear more about some of my favorite recipes, and links to where you can find them online, check back next week for my post on “My Journey Through Eating AIP.”
Along with my nutrition, I added in a supplement regimen to feed my body the micro and macro nutrients that it requires, as well as provide further gut support. I started by taking a daily nutrient pack from a company that I work with; the doTERRA Life Long Vitality Pack. From my chiropractic background, I have developed a very high standard of supplementation. Although there are several good companies out there, it is far easier to find a poor-quality supplement that will have little to no positive effect on your body and may even cause more harm. When I began researching the lifelong vitality trio, I was extremely impressed with the care and attention put into developing this very high-quality daily supplement pack. The Life Long Vitality pack includes a whole food multivitamin, an omega 3 fish oil, and an antioxidant for proper cellular and DNA health. You can learn more about doTERRA’s Life Long Vitality Pack HERE
The other supplements that I added to my regimen were a high-quality probiotic (HERE is the one I use and suggest), digestive enzymes (HERE are the ones I use and suggest), and a high-quality vitamin D oil (HERE is what I use and suggest).
